With the end of the semester approaching quickly, I realised that I need to start thinking about the music I need to comission for my film. I am not 100% sure whether or not my film needs it, I want the sound effects to be intense and overbearing to create the right atmosphere for auidences. I am not sure if music would help or hinder that. I have never been very good at deciding what types of music go well with my films. So brainstorming the type of music I would want has pr
Here is my finished project schedule for next term. I have added the important dates and marked on how long I want to work on each element of the film. When I get back in Janauary there are still a couple of animation tests and things I will need to get sorted out before I can complete that section and move onto the actual animation scenes. Alan mentioned a while back that usually near the end of the firt month, we have a meeting about finding sound designers to work on our f
For our summative submission next monday, we have to complete our reflective statementsas a means to understnad our semester better and get organised for next term. I always enjoying writing these reflective statements out as it gives me a chance to thinking about what and how I can improve on in the future. And as we are continuing on with our films next term rather than starting something new, then the changes can be made as I go along. Here is my final reflective statement
With the character of Johnny I wanted to show his transformation from his traumatic injury to his leg when escaping the crashed plane. In my Grandad's book he mentions several times that Johnny slips back and forth over the days they're out at sea and backs a shell of himself. He barely responds to the other crew members and doesn't move very much. As his injury takes over his personlity and drains his engery, I wanted to show this through a physical and dramtic way as I don'
This week I have been re-filming and designing some of the oil on glass scenes I have been doing. I am happy with some of the results. Below I have attached some of the screen tests I did for lighting and such. I have yet to upload the animation tests onto youtube but will probably get round to it soon. I like the bright visuals on some of the scenes and hope the atmosphere I am trying to create is easy to read or at least kind of easy to read. I will edit some of these to ma
I am getting ever closer to what I can envision for this film being my reality. Today I created the second pass of my wave test and edited it photoshop. Here is the final product, I really like the outcome but do realise that some changes do need to be made. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed it and understand my vision for the film. I am excited to get back into the studio and re shoot some of the frames for the charcoal wave sequences as I think the loop could be made to be smoothe
So for the summative assessment submission next Monday, I wnated to create a risk assessment document that I can follow for next term. On the document, I mention fire risks, water damage or stolen equipment. I now have a solid plan of what to do if something goes wrong. I now feel a bit better about the future as I have prepared for some of the outcomes. Here is the risk assessment;
For the summative assessment submission in a couple of weeks time. I need to have finished quality production benchmark tests finished and ready to show. As these films are taking much longer than our usual projects and have taken much more planning and testing than we are used to, I understand the reasoning behind the benchmark tests. I am getting much closer to the final product and the final techniques that I want to use next term to create the film. I have linked some exa
